So I'm sitting here in Central Park and it's warm but cold and it's certainly overcast and the light summer rain can't decide if it's coming or going.

Notes from a jazz sax somewhere around the corner are floating up over the soft conversations of families passing by.

I saw the biggest dog I've ever seen in my life here today.

New York City is for me. It's quick, it's sassy, it's full of coffee, and it's affordable. It doesn't cost a dime to people watch.

I'm convinced the Starbucks's (how do you pluralize "Starbucks?" It's amazing I graduated college) are strategically located in relation to each other so that where one's WiFi ends, another's begins. Why spend money on a smart phone when you can carry around a 2 1/2-year-old Netbook with you?

Seriously though I hate smart phones.

I have an hour left before I board a bus to Albany. Will I finish writing this before I get to that bus? Will I publish this by then? Will I even move from this tree that is protecting me from the rain? I wouldn't mind dying here.

Crap, I forgot to shave my legs for tomorrow's wedding. Whatever; hashtag yolo.

The sax player just started playing one of my favorite jazz standards!

A woman is walking by that looks like Jami Lee Curtis and she's wearing the cutest red with white polka-dots dress I have ever seen in my life.

Someone is taking a picture of me sitting by this tree, writing in my Netbook. I'm pretending I don't notice to make the picture better.

My bus leaves in a little less than an hour. I should probably relocate to Port Authority.

Sax player is cycling through the same 6 jazz standards. I know them all. I should stand next to him and sing. Just kidding, I'd never be that cruel.
